Day 9

Well. Today wasn't very exciting. I worked all day long with the corps and packed up my stuff to leave for the show.

Let's backtrack a little bit. Today was just another normal day. Work the met. Carry this. Hold that. Drum major Ben thanked me today and told me I was doing a good job. That gave me some justification.

You see Ben, does not mess up. Ever. Period. The end. He holds himself in the highest place and keeps himself there. And there's no cockiness about him. He just wants to be the best at what he is. And he does a great job of it.

So yeah. That was good.

The school we were at today. Not so good. Actually bad. I'll just give you some visuals.

That's the field^?!

It was the first grass field that we've had since I got here. And it wasn't mowed down. There were patches of mud and other patches of grass up past your ankles. It was a mess.

You know. If I were a band director and I knew that a world class organization like the Cadets were coming. I would make sure my facilities were up to par.

The day started off cloudy. But that didn't last long. Another day in the hot Texas sun.

Loading up the buses and trucks now and then heading off to our second show. Same corps as last night. Only in reverse order. Blue Devils kicking it off. We'll see what happens.

One last thing, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to my dad Joe. Thanks for everything that you do for me Dad!!!! I love you!

Stat up late tonight and read my show blog when I put it up.
